Advanced CEO debuts LED supplier APG Media Group

David Weatherhead, CEO and president of Advanced, has officially launched APG Media Group, an LED videowall and media technology company. The company will be comprised of his older company, APG Rentals, as well as APG Distribution and APG Technical Services, according to a press release.

Weatherhead plans to open a Canadian headquarters in Toronto as well as expand its current headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The headquarters will feature test labs, training centers and warehousing, according to the release.

"The business opportunity goes beyond AV, IT or live events," Weatherhead said in the release. "APG Media Group is a technology company that enables the channel to be successful by serving as a true-value add rental partner, distribution resource, and media consultant for display technologies."
