VisionChina Media Inc., the Chinese out-of-home digital signage advertising network on mass transportation systems and provider of urban mass transit Wi-Fi, has deployed 3,000 on-bus Wi-Fi hotspots in Hangzhou City, the provincial capital of Zhejiang, according to a company announcement.

Currently the company provides free Wi-Fi Internet services on more than 30,000 buses under the brand name "VIFI," with approximately 10 million registered users.

VisionChina Media Chairman and CEO Limin Li said, "We are pleased to announce the recent implementation of our Wi-Fi services in Hangzhou City, which further strengthens our leading position in China's urban mass transit Wi-Fi market and demonstrates our ability to deliver targeted content and an exceptional user experience. We intend to continue to deploy on-bus Wi-Fi hotspots in more provincial capitals and other major cities across China."
