Wireless Ronin® Powers Digital Signage with ADS
Some years ago, the team at Wireless Ronin Technology (WRT), based in Minnesota, worked as skilled integrators, merging hardware and software to create custom embedded solutions. They had developed core technology around a 16 bit microprocessor family, and had developed extraordinary support for the popular Macromedia® Flash® package.
Initially, they used the Flash technology to promote their own services at trade show booths but soon people were
asking how they could buy the signs - not the integration services. With some development work, RoninCast™ was born - a fully functioning multitiered system that allows users to manage hundreds of signs in dozens of locations. The resultant popularity of the system sent WRT looking for a better CPU.
