A look at the tech in Tesco's digital pilot

Tesco's current digital pilot program features digital signage, kiosks, augmented reality and hologram-based technology to help bring an online shopping experience to the brick-and-mortar stores.

The F&F Order Point solution is a touchscreen kiosk designed by Retec Interface that allows shoppers to browse items not available in stores and make purchases using chip-and-pin.
The product detail screen on the F&F Order Point kiosk can suggest accessories and lead to an increase in sales while the customer is at the POS.
The StyleMe Mirror acts as a Kinect-like game for children, allowing them to use gesture-based technology to virtually try on clothing.
A PrimeSense camera captures the child's image and overlays it with items they choose through hand gestures. The act essentially gamifies the retail experience for the young shopper.
