Culver's original static signage was simplistic and couldn't fit all of the featured items or photos.
The new boards allow the franchisees to loop video and feature rotating daily specials.
Franchisee Zach Steffens says one of the biggest benefits of the new digital boards is their visual appeal. "The picture quality is something customers like to look at," he said.
The static boards could take five to 10 minutes to change each time.
Zach Steffens, an Illinois Culver's operator, said having the new digital signs has changed the entire look and feel of the restaurant. "Our customers comment often about how we've upgraded," he said.
One of the reasons the Steffens decided to install a new digital system was so customers would be more engaged with the diverse menu.
