A major renovation of the Point Cinema in Madison, Wis., that includes digital signage and self-service kiosks is currently underway to get ready for the busy summer blockbuster season, according to an announcement from Marcus Theatres, a division of The Marcus Corp.

"The enhancements will be evident the minute guests drive up to the property. The addition of the signature Marcus tower marquee and updated exterior will welcome moviegoers to an attractive entertainment destination. Once inside, guests will be greeted by a welcoming new look that extends from the lobby throughout the entire theatre," said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus Theatres.

Lobby renovations include a comfortable seating area where guests can mingle before or after the show. The box office will be relocated and bright LCD digital signage will be added for easy viewing and selection of showtimes. Automated box-office kiosks will be installed to make purchasing and picking-up tickets more convenient and efficient, the company said.

Also, the theater hallways will be refurbished with updated wall coverings and LCD signage above each auditorium entrance.
