YCD Multimedia integrates retail ad platform with Google Web Designer

YCD Multimedia, a global provider of smart digital signage solutions, today announced a new workflow for YCD|RAMP (the company's proprietary Retail Advertising and Merchandising Platform) with Google Web Designer, a free tool for creating HTML5 pages, banner ads and widgets launched by Google last month.

YCD said it has created a seamless workflow for importing Google Web Designer projects directly into RAMP, enabling YCD customers to create templates (the basis for RAMP branded designs) themselves without needing added HTML or Flash Studio services.

By tagging media and text in GWD, customers can take advantage of RAMP's dynamic data features (pricing, product images, call to action, etc.). Upon import, RAMP identifies and associates these tags with RAMP dynamic objects, and creates "native" RAMP templates that are immediately available to the user. To ensure users can "hit the ground running," the company said, sample HTML5 projects are provided with this integration.

"With the introduction of Google Web Designer, our R&D team quickly realized the importance of finding ways for our users to use this powerful tool as part of their digital signage workflow in RAMP," Eran Sharon, the company's VP of product management, said in the announcement. "Google Web Designer brought great advertising-focused HTML5 design tools to the world. With our new integration update for RAMP, we are excited to put these tools to work in a new way, making template creation by YCD customers fast, simple and free."
