Tightrope Media Systems has announced a new software release for its Carousel digital signage platform, offering new tools and enhancements that the company said keep content fresh and enrich the visual appeal.
The Carousel 6.4 software release supports direct Twitter and Facebook integration, aimed at simplifying how operators access and subsequently incorporate social media feeds into signage layouts. The software release also includes a new text character limit on Carousel bulletins to eliminate screen crowding and wordy passages, necessary to retain viewers and strengthen messages, according to the company.
"Social media is so natural to people today that it's easy for most to focus in and consume that information on signage platforms," Eric Henry, signage solutions lead for Tightrope Media Systems, said in a news release. "Our customers are increasingly seeking ways to ensure that their social media content is current, dynamic and well-aligned with their screen content. It creates a natural connection between consumers and the businesses or organizations that rely on digital signage as a communications platform."
