SensyTouch will use this month's Digital Signage Expo to launch its first projected capacitive multitouch system, the company announced recently.
The 42-inch projected capacitive multitouch system is the first of three sizes that Irvine, Calif.-based SensyTouch — which develops, engineers and markets a range of multitouch solutions for a broad range of industries — has planned for the first quarter of 2014. The other sizes will be 46-inch and 65-inch projected capacitive multitouch systems with sleek designs, the company said.
The SensyTouch projected capacitive multitouch system measures in at just 2 inches, amps up speed with a 7 millisecond response time and features a water-resistant design that makes it suitable for restaurant and amusement park use, where water contact is common, the company said.
Among the best features of PCT are enhanced sensitivity to touch by fingers or stylus, ease of use and ability to support multitouch gestures such as tap, pinch and expand, the company said.
The DSE is set for Feb. 11-13 in Las Vegas.
