Ovation turns up in-store digital signage

Ovation In-Store has chosen Videotel's VP71 industrial media player for auto-looping retail digital signage solutions, according to an announcement from Videotel.

Some of the world's notable brands, ranging from Clinique and Giorgio Armani to Mattel and Victoria's Secret, have partnered with Ovation In-Store to create interactive digital signage for retail outlets, the announcement said. Dior in-store digital signageOvation In-Store recently added Videotel Inc.'s VP71 industrial media player to its product offering, to provide a reliable solution for looping content in retail stores worldwide.

Videotel said its VP71 is an industrial-grade digital media player designed for HD looping content on any monitor or screen with video resolutions from 480p to 1080p. The player is compact to integrate into any media component, including digital signage, digital engagement and education or other corporate communication initiatives. Automatically looping content loaded on an included SD card or USB drive, the VP71 uses solid-state technology to provide clear and sharp picture quality, the company said.

"After using other Videotel solutions for replacements of DVD players that have failed, we have enjoyed the no-frills, solid construction that just works," Kirt Betz, senior service manager at Ovation In-Store, said in the announcement. "Moving to solid-state media players, the VP71 is now our 'go-to' player for all of our retail and commercial applications where video is looped. I've personally tested the player thinking of worst possible situations, and it's passed them all."
