Glasses-free 3D solutions provider Magnetic 3D today announced that it will join Microsoft and XOMNI at National Retail Federation's 103rd annual convention and expo this week in New York City.
In Microsoft's booth, XOMNI will be demonstrating its Assisted Selling Application as well as its complete integration with Microsoft devices and operating systems. Running Windows 8 and completely compatible with Surface tablets, the application showcases the value of XOMNI's cloud-based retail solutions in a technologically advanced point-of-sale environment, the announcement said.
"XOMNI is dedicated to helping retailers connect with their target audience at the point of sale, which is becoming increasingly difficult in this day and age," Chad Brown, president and CEO of XOMNI, said in the announcement. "With all of the information everyone currently has at their fingertips, more and more consumers are doing research, and subsequently making purchases, online. Always looking for innovative technology, XOMNI makes in-store retail a unique experience that consumers simply cannot get at home. As we will demonstrate at NRF, adding glasses-free 3D to our established omnichannel platform will help increase consumer engagement for any retail campaign."
Using a Magnetic 3D display, XOMNI will unveil its integration of glasses-free 3D technology at Retail's BIG Show this year. Visitors to the booth will be able to observe this integration as XOMNI-equipped tablets interact with the Magnetic 3D screen, providing a firsthand illustration to the retail industry of the impact glasses-free 3D technology can deliver, the company said.
"Our technology aims to reverse showrooming," Tom Zerega, founder and CEO of Magnetic 3D, said in the announcement. "By providing stunning visual aids that literally pop out of the screen, glasses-free 3D displays can represent products in intricate ways that are impossible to achieve with the screen of a computer or smartphone. Through XOMNI's retail platform, our unique graphics are complimented by the expertise of an in-person retail associate, encouraging consumers to make their purchase decision at the store rather than online."
