Hong Kong-based SAPPHIRE Technology Ltd., a manufacturer and global supplier of IT products, has unveiled a dedicated Pro AV section on its website showcasing its broad range of interoperable products for digital signage installations, according to a company announcement.

Technology solutions from SAPPHIRE include an extensive range of multidisplay graphics cards, feature-rich motherboards and small form factor PCs, the company said.

"Digital Signage is a growing market for SAPPHIRE, and we wanted to recognize this by providing guidance and support to our expanding customer base," says Adrian Thompson, VP of marketing for SAPPHIRE Technology. "Given the convergence of IT and AV in recent years, SAPPHIRE is uniquely positioned to present digital signage integrators a portfolio of complementary products, backed by dedicated product specialists."

SAPPHIRE offers a variety of building blocks for digital signage installations — from single-screen to video walls. The SAPPHIRE motherboard series includes fully featured micro-ITX and full ATX boards with support for both Intel and AMD processors, including the latest APU technology from AMD with on-board DX10 graphics.

Within the SAPPHIRE portfolio, products ideally suited to the digital signage market include low profile graphics cards with multiple outputs and high quality cooling, and fully featured small form factor ITX motherboards with integrated DX10 graphics and PCIe expansion. The recently announced SAPPHIRE Edge HD3 small form factor PC features E450 APU technology to deliver a feature set that includes support for dual full-HD outputs and wireless connectivity. The SAPPHIRE Pro AV team is available to guide digital signage integrators to the products that best match the technical requirements and characteristics of a specific project.

"In addition to offering a broad selection of technologies, SAPPHIRE has been supporting the specialized requirements of our integrator base for quite some time," Thompson said. "For example, in response to customer requests, SAPPHIRE now offers a special BIOS for our mini-PC that adds support for boot-on-power-up, boot-after-power-fail, wake-on-LAN and power-on-at-specific-time."

The new SAPPHIRE Pro AV Web section provides quick access to products best suited for digital signage applications, and highlights how they may be combined to create innovative, cost-effective solutions, the company said. At the same time, it is the portal through which Pro AV integrators may consult with SAPPHIRE Pro AV sales and support consultants to discuss project needs and product capabilities.
