Flyte Systems, a provider of airport travel information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality industry, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses, recently announced that Vesta Hospitality has deployed its FlyteBoard airline flight information displays at two properties. Vesta Hospitality's Staybridge Suites, and its Country Inn & Suites near the Portland International Airport in Oregon now provide guests with real-time flight information in their hotel lobbies.
"We are always trying to offer unique, additional services that guests want and value. We hit a home run when we installed FlyteBoards in our lobbies," said Mark Hemmer, vice president of operations at Vesta Hospitality, in the announcement. "The FlyteBoards show accurate arrival and departure times our guests plan their day by. Our GMs tell me that many guests crowd around the FlyteBoards and remark what an amazing convenience it is. We cannot imagine not offering the service."
Hemmer first saw the Flyte Systems' displays in a Chicago property he managed and immediately knew FlyteBoard would be a valuable guest service at his Oregon hotels.
"The boards communicate a message to guests that we are a modern property the moment they walk in our lobby," Hemmer said. "We have a restaurant and bar at one hotel, and on bad weather days we often find guests hanging out in our lobby bar waiting for their flight. They walk out to the FlyteBoard and if they see the flight is delayed, they go back for dinner or another beverage."
