Excalibur in Vegas deploys digital signage menu boards in food court

The Excalibur Hotel and Casino food court recently re-opened after completing an extensive remodel, including extensive digital signage menu boards from WAND Corp., according to an announcement from WAND.

The seventh-largest hotel in the world, the Excalibur food court hosts more than 7 million guests per year and includes a wide range of concepts, including Krispy Kreme, Auntie Anne's Soft Rolled Pretzels, Popcornopolis, Hot Dog on a Stick, Tropical Smoothie Café, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Pick Up Stix and Cinnabon. In keeping with the progressively modern styling update plan of the hotel and casino that has been in effect for the last several years, a sleek alternative to traditional static signage was needed. Choosing WAND Corporation, the Excalibur food court now features content in full 1080p, including beauty shots, video, and easy-to-read, crisp text.

WAND Digital Menu Boards were deployed throughout the food court, reflecting the menus and brand identities of eight different concepts. Through WAND Total Restaurant Management software, authorized users can adjust, change and update content and prices in minutes from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection.

"Freedom and speed were part of our decision to choose WAND," said Excalibur spokesman Lincoln Spoor. "In 2012, the ability to control change should be something I can hold in the palm of my hand."
