CompTIA, a nonprofit association for the information technology industry, recently announced the opening of registration for ChannelCon 2014, its partnering and training event for IT vendors, distributors and channel partners.
ChannelCon is scheduled for Aug. 4-6 at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.
"ChannelCon features a power-packed agenda of educational sessions, networking opportunities, keynotes, panels and working groups," Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA, said in the announcement. "We'll explore the emerging markets, money-making solutions and innovative technologies that are transforming the IT channel. Attendees will leave Phoenix with everything they need to connect to a smarter future."
CompTIA also issued a call for speakers for this year's conference, and among the categories in which it's seeking speakers is "AV Integration/Digital Signage Marketing," as well subjects such as "Health Care IT" and "mobility trends."
Prospective speakers also can submit a topic not on this list, provided the topic is focused on IT channel education and does not promote specific products or services, CompTIA said. Proposals can be submitted at http://channelcon.comptia.org/agenda/call-for-speakers.
