Christie and Premier Mounts recently deployed a video wall solution for an "internationally recognized nonprofit organization" to grab the attention of its members and offer rich educational information in the community center's reception area, according to an announcement from Premier. The NPO is known for strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the announcement said.
The community center wanted a solution that would not only deliver the necessary content, but also would make it stand out and be welcoming, and it also needed to be within the NPO's budget as well as designed, manufactured and installed within a two-month timeframe for the community center's grand opening in December.
Premier Mounts and Christie formed a team comprising of experts from both companies, who worked together to collaborate on all aspects of the project.
The companies deployed a giant, 12-by-9 MicroTiles video wall that offers gestural and social interactive capabilities and presents digital content 90 percent of the time with the option to display a cable feed or Blu-Ray DVDs the other 10. The Premier Mounts Field Sales Engineering and Design Engineer teams worked with Christie's Managed Services as they provided the technical consultation at every stage: concept, design, pre-staging, on-site setup, consultation and installation. Premier Mounts presented its MTM Series Christie MicroTiles Mounting System for the finished product presentation.
"We engaged Premier to deliver a mount that aligns with the install time and project budget," Josh Kolbeck, Christie's director of solutions and project management, said in the announcement. "The Premier Mounts MTM-3000 with their MTM-6060 were cost-effective, decreased install time by 66.3 percent and allowed for the adjustability required to install MicroTiles. We aligned and installed 108 Christie MicroTiles, with Premier creating a mount, so that we could build and align three MicroTiles groups on the floor before locking them onto the wall. This gave us the flexibility to have multiple technicians working in different zones simultaneously, saving us a lot of installation time."
