Videotel Inc., a nationwide provider and manufacturer of industrial and commercial upscaling HD DVD players, has released its HD2600 player with the company's new Inter-play Module, according to a company release. The bundled solution is the intended for the integration for any interactive kiosk or museum exhibit allowing users to trigger specific video content with the touch of a button, use of a motion sensor or the company's exclusive wave-to-play device, the company said.
The plug-and-play functionality of the IPM allows for easy assimilation of Videotel's HD2600 digital players with the use of a standard four-pin phone cord, according to Videotel. The control board includes small push buttons allowing a connection of up to eight different mechanical buttons or motion sensors. The IPM integration into the HD2600 allows for rewind, play/pause, fast-forward, chapter forward/back, stop, power on/off and eject, all through activator control buttons.
"Videotel is very excited to offer the new inter-play module with our most popular industrial looping DVD player," Lisa Schneider, vice president of business development and market strategy for the company, said in the announcement. "We understand that museums and educational institutions in particular must watch every penny spent on exhibits. By offering this combo product, Videotel can help you finish your interactive experiences within your specified budget."
The HD2600 is a commercial-grade looping DVD player designed for use with any TV or screen, the company said. It is designed to turn on, play automatically, repeat and auto loop without any manual interaction. If end-users so choose, they can have continuous play 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. By combining the player with the IPM, the audience has the ability to trigger preferred content within a playlist, providing an interactive experience.
