The Broomall (Pa.) Fire Department has deployed full-color LED digital signage to both engage with the community and help with recuitment and retention, according to an announcement from signage providers KC Sign & Awnings and Vantage LED.
KC Sign and Awnings installed a Vantage LED Phoenix full-color LED sign featuring the company's Darwin Industrial Control Unit for demanding high-resolution video and graphics. The fire department controls the sign using the simple LightSpeed LED sign software, designed to be user friendly for the simple user, yet still packed with advanced features for the most tech-savvy user, according to the announcement.
With the station situated on a major artery between Philadelphia and its western suburbs, the announcement said, it's ideally situated to display "Recruitment & Retention" messages to thousands of people a day.
Broomall Fire Department President Jim Capuzzi said in the announcement that the signage "will enable us to continually update and refresh our R & R message as well as deliver targeted messages based on the demographics of the passing public."
