At this year's National Retail Federation BIG Show, Posiflex is announcing new retail and hospitality products in development, including an ultra-small-footprint multipurpose PC controller with Wi-Fi that can serve as a digital signage or kiosk controller.
The multipurpose controller is an ultra-small-footprint industrial PC with Wi-Fi that can control a variety of configurations for retail and hospitality environments, from digital signage to kitchen control, according to Posiflex. Users can just install the appropriate software in the fanless and ventless controller and then install the appropriate software to drive digital signage, kitchen control configurations, surveillance systems, point-of-purchase displays, point-of-sale and service, vending or kiosk applications.
The company said its patented aluminum die-cast and fan-free system runs cool with minimum power requirements; its ruggedized design makes it optimal for hazardous work locations; and its small footprint with Wi-Fi capability is intended to suit the controller to anywhere integration, including easy wall-mount installation in small, tight spaces and unobtrusive locations. The controller also boasts a variety of I/O port configurations, powered USB, Wi-Fi, VESA mounting, low power consumption and dual-video support.
