3M Touch Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 3M Company, announced today it is featuring an 84-inch multitouch digital signage display prototype at CES Unveiled and the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas this week.
"3M continues to challenge the size limitations of high-performance multitouch technology, and the investments we have made in developing robust and proprietary PX electronics platform are enabling us to achieve our innovation goals," said Diego Romeu, business operations manager for 3M Touch Systems, in the announcement. "Our 84-inch multitouch prototype display demonstrates 3M's ability to scale [projected capacitive] electronics and sensor manufacturing to meet the need of our customers for increasingly larger format touch solutions."
At CES 2013 (Booth 30167, South Hall 3), 3M Touch Systems will be exhibiting the following "concept" table and wall configurations:
- 84-inch multitouch table
- 46-inch multitouch table
- A one-by-three 46-inch multitouch display wall
- 32-inch multitouch table
- A three-by-three 32-inch multitouch display wall
- Two 32-inch interactive multitouch retail product selectors
