A partnership between Cambrios Technologies Corp. and eTurboTouch Technology Inc. has resulted in the creation of clear coating, large-area touch sensors that the companies will showcase at next week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Using Cambrios' ClearOhm coating material and eTurboTouch touch sensors, the shatter-proof material is designed for use in touchscreen devices larger than 10 inches, the announcement said, providing high conductivity and optical and electrical performance.
"Cambrios' ClearOhm material makes it possible for eTurboTouch to cost effectively meet the unrelenting mass-market demand for touch panels by our customers that manufacture projected capacitive touch devices with large screens," said Kim Wang, chairman of eTurboTouch. "ClearOhm transparent conductive materials provide not only high conductivity and outstanding optical and electrical performance, but also low resistance and high transmission, all of which are essential for large-area touch applications."
