The Nokia Stadium in Tel Aviv will combine digital signage with a mobile app to create a unique interactive sporting experience, The Times of Israel reported.

Starting next week, sports fans will have the opportunity to participate in a mass trivia game run directly on the scoreboard. Fans will use an app on their smartphone that will connect them with the scoreboard, where the questions will appear. Fans who are the fastest to answer the questions will have their Facebook profile photos displayed on the big screen.

The technology is being developed by the Israeli start-up Screenmo, which takes care of much of the back-end work that goes into the applications, and guides businesses in setting up their mass event, the article reported.

"Our platform is the first that allows businesses to implement mobile screen interactive apps within days, and in many cases without the help of developers," said Adir Zimerman, CEO and co-founder of Screenmo, of the menu-driven system that interfaces with users and with the central screen. "It could be a scoreboard, or a digital sign outside a store. Many businesses have wanted to do this for a long time, but it's just been too expensive and time-consuming, since until now each event has required writing an application from scratch."
