NEXCOM has added a new member to its digital signage family with a new flagship digital signage modular player, the NDiS M532.
The M532 is based on the third-generation Intel Core processor family and follows the electrical and mechanical specifications of Intel's Open Pluggable Specification, according to a company announcement. The M532 can be plugged into any OPS-complaint display devices to render multimedia content and features a modular and cable-less design and advanced built-in remote management functionality.
The player is powered by an Intel Core processor paired with the Mobile Intel QM77 Express Chipset, and has an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and supports Microsoft DirectX 11. Taking advantage of the latest Intel technology, the M532 can accelerate video anglicizing, 3D rendering, image processing and video decoding to provide highly personalized information based on the result of audience measurement to deliver targeted marketing messaging to the target audience.
In addition, the M532 supports three independent displays with 2x1080P and 720P via HDMI/DP interfaces. With the ability to drive three displays without requiring discrete hardware, this digital signage player delivers more with less hardware, which reduces overall cost and power consumption.
Positioned as a network player, the M532 has extended remote management to the hardware level. Combining Intel Active Management Technology 8.0 and Consumer Electronics Control functions, the M532 offers users out-of-band access to hardware status checks and to system restore via wired LAN, cellular and Wi-Fi networks. Display brightness and volume can also be adjusted over the network. Furthermore, the player's USB 3.0 provides a tenfold increase in data transfer rate, the company said.
