Charlotte, N.C.-based digital signage and in-store audio solutions provider 11Giraffes and Hickory Tavern, a casual dining restaurant and bar chain with 14 locations across North and South Carolina, collaborated to roll out a digital signage content management system for multimedia customer interaction throughout every site, according to an announcement from 11Giraffes.
The digital signage solution was specifically designed to support presentation of real-time TV sports and news in one area of the screen while promoting Hickory Tavern branded events and specials as needed in other viewing areas.
"The 11Giraffes team worked closely with our associates to understand our concerns and needs," said Thom Perez, marketing representative for Hickory Tavern. "Their first step was to make sure that I was completely up to speed on all aspects of the system. 11Giraffes gave me a brief training session that was specifically focused on addressing my most pressing concern. In that session I learned a few functions that made our day-to-day interaction with the system much easier. Then, within a few months a new system interface was released that addressed every essential need. It did so to such an extent that I knew that my personal comments played a role in its continuous development which we utilize into our daily marketing/promotions functions."
Connecting with a loyal customer base and the community has always been a strong drive in the company's mission, and the ability to create main and sub playlists has enabled the restaurant group to cross promote events and specials throughout all locations.
According to the announcement, strong customer interaction with the digital signage platform helped promote patrons to vote for Hickory Tavern as a finalist in ESPN's North America's Best Sports Bar in 2012 contest.
