Advantech has launched a new lineup of turnkey digital signage media player solutions aimed at, the company said, making signage applications simple, yet more intelligent.
The players combine reliable hardware, embedded OS, remote management software, data protection, and network security services, the company said — and incorporate the latest, third-generation Intel Core i technology to deliver up to 15 percent more CPU performance, and up to 60 percent more 3D graphics performance.
All Advantech digital signage boxes come pre-loaded with an embedded OS, along with SUSIAccess remote device management software, Acronis data protection software and network security software by McAfee.
The compact (200-by-119-by-30 mm) ARK-DS262 turnkey signage solution is an Intel Open Pluggable Specification-compliant digital signage platform that helps standardize the design and development of media player and display. ARK-DS262 also supports GigaLAN and COM ports, and two USB3.0, giving a selection of data communications for display applications.
Designed for advanced digital media player and signage projects, the ARK-DS762combines high processing and graphics performance with rich I/O (including USB 3.0) and extra flexibility via optional expansion modules. The ARK-DS762 can support three HDMI independent displays, and also supports Microsoft Kinect technology that allows a screen to become a virtual interactive display that can be controlled with gestures or spoken commands.
