QA Graphics, an Iowa-based interactive design firm, announced today that the company will demonstrate its nutrition information kiosk solution at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago in May.
The company said it develops interactive nutrition information kiosks to help quick service and fast-food restaurants comply with menu labeling laws.
The NRA Show will attract over 58,000 industry pros from more than 100 countries to view innovations, new products and services, creative ideas and other growth opportunities across the restaurant and hospitality industry, according to the announcement. At the NRA Show, attendees can visit QA Graphics' booth to view nutritional kiosk examples, as well as a variety of other creative design solutions for restaurants, quick serve restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, retail outlets and others, the company said.
With the FDA's impending legislation requiring the display of nutritional information, QA Graphics said it can work with restaurant owners to provide a solution that's both visually appealing and informative for consumers. The interactive nutritional applications can be displayed via kiosks, touchscreens and mobile devices including Apple iOS, Android and BlackBerry.
QA Graphics said its interactive nutritional kiosks can feature a host of important information:

- Allergen information
- Promotions/specials
- Menu dayparting
- Advertisements
- Entertainment
- Sustainability initiatives
- Other custom features
The company will also demonstrate examples of cutting-edge interactive sales tools that it said allow vendors and distributors to provide greater visualization of their extensive product lines. These are solutions that would help streamline purchasing decisions, while reducing inventory needs and making the sales process more efficient. QA Graphics will also demonstrate other marketing solutions for restaurants including touchscreen applications, digital menu boards, mobile applications for Apple iOS and Android devices, as well as other multimedia solutions.
QA Graphics also works with organizations that are building sustainable restaurants, or working to make their existing locations more energy efficient. QA Graphics' Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard is an educational solution that customers can interact with via mobile devices, touchscreens or kiosks to view how efficient a restaurant is and learn more about the sustainable initiatives in place. This solution is currently being used by a number of locations throughout the U.S., including two LEED-certified McDonald's franchises.
