When the National Football League's Denver Broncos were 1-4, a digital billboard in the Mile-High City exhorted Broncos Coach John Fox to play then-third-string quarterback Tim Tebow.
After the famously-devoutly Christian Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs and a surprise first-round victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the billboard continued to post pro-Tebow messages like "Now Do You Believe? Denver" and — after former-star-QB-turned-team-exec John Elway said Tebow needed to "pull the trigger" in the playoffs — "Tebow's Trigger right on target!"
And according to Denver's Channel 9 News, it turns out the people behind the billboard aren't, as one might expect, devout Christians or conservatives, but three local brothers in business with their father, all of whom also happen to be devout Muslims.
The three brothers, Ali, Muhammad and Tariq Suleiman, used their company's digital billboard to push for and then pull for Tebow mainly as Denver Broncos fans, but also as fellow devout religious believers.
"We like the fact that he practices what he preaches," Muhammad Suleiman told 9 News in the interview embedded below:
