At the 2010 OEC Taipei Ladies Open, the biggest tennis event in Taiwan, organizers adopted CAYIN's digital signage solution incorporated with Heimavista's sports game system as the main communications medium within the arena, according to a release today from CAYIN.

The tennis tournament took place from Oct. 30 to Nov. 7 in Taipei Arena, and organizers used CAYIN technology to broadcast matches onto 300-inch LED screens.

According to the release, the biggest highlight of the project was the integration of CAYIN's digital signage players and the cloud-based sports game system developed by Heimavista, CAYIN's premium solution partner in Taiwan.

The organizer set up two LED screens in Taipei Arena, with each screen connected to one CAYIN digital signage player. Authorized staff operated the media players via network and controlled the content playback on each LED screen.

All live scores and figures were collected and managed by Heimavista's sports game system. Through CAYIN's digital signage players, live sports data from Heimavista's system was presented on the LED screens.

Whenever a tennis player scored, referees updated the data with a simple click on the PDA, which transmitted the point immediately to the Web server and, at the same time, broadcast the score onto LED screens via SMP-WEB4 digital signage players.
