Digital Signage Expo 2010 adds free educational workshop program

Digital Signage Expo (DSE) will present more than a dozen free educational Workshops at its 2010 Conference Program, scheduled for Feb. 23-25, 2010, in Las Vegas.
 
The faculty and workshop topics confirmed for Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Thurs., Feb. 25, include:
• Cisco’s vice president, Digital Media Systems, Thomas Wyatt will present “Network-Based Digital Signage: Unlimited Possibilities.”
 
• Almo Pro AV’s executive vice president, Sam Taylor, and Kayye Consulting’s founder and publisher of rAVe, Gary Kayye, will co-present “An Introduction to Digital Signage for AV Geeks & Integrators.”
 
• SpinetiX’s head of marketing, Rod Sommerich, will present “Prerequisites of Simple & Reliable Digital Signage with Embedded Systems.”
 
• 5th Screen Project’s chairman & CEO, Keith Kelsen, will present “Unleashing the Power of Digital Signage – Content Strategies for the 5th Screen.”
 
• AMX Corp’s vice president of Global Marketing, Joe Andrulis, will present “How to Use Control to Improve a DS Installation.”
 
• NCR Corp’s solution manager-Digital Signage, Jerry Zeephat, will present “The Power of Touch DS, Interactivity and the K-word (Kiosk) – Maximizing Value Across Customer Touchpoints.”
 
• DAT’s president & CEO, Steve Roberts, will present “Leveraging New Technologies to Enhance Your DS Network & Increase Revenues.”
 
• Minicom Digital Signage’s managing director, North America, David Haar, will present “The Cost Ramifications of DS.”
 
• Eventful’s vice president Data Syndication, Tim Breidigan, will present “Building Revenue & Customer Loyalty with Rich Hyper-Local Content.”
 
• Wegener’s vice president, Marketing, Kamy Merithew, will present “Network Growth: Managing the Insanity.”
 
• Wireless Ronin’s executive vice president & COO, Scott Koeller, will present “DS Network Support – After the Rollout.”
 
• Coolsign’s president, Lou Giacolone Jr., will present “TCO – Understanding the Real Costs of Digital Signage.”
 
• Arrow OEM Computing Solutions’ North American business development director, Frank Turner, and AU Optronics’ Director, Michael Goan, will co-present “Is a Display JUST a Display?”
 
• HP DSO Visual Solutions’ vice president, Bob Rosenberry, will present “Simplifying & Expanding the ROI of DOOH Networks for SMB.”
“We are always looking for ways to add educational value to the experience at Digital Signage Expo,” said Chris Gibbs, president of ExpoNation LLC, which produces DSE. “DSE’s free Workshop Program gives attendees the opportunity to pick up pointers on everything from getting started to DOOH network management from industry professionals who represent a depth of marketplace experience.”
