CognoVision named to the CIX Top 20 innovative companies of 2009

CognoVision Solutions Inc., a developer of audience measurement and retail intelligence solutions, has been named one of the CIX Top 20 Innovative Companies of 2009.
 
The Top 20 are selected by the Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX). The group conducts an annual search for the most innovative ideas, products, services and companies in the country.
 
“We are humbled and honored by being named to the CIX Top 20,” said Haroon Mirza, director of business development at CognoVision. “It is great to be recognized for our efforts to push the envelope in bringing greater accountability and metrics to the digital signage and retail industries through the use of innovative technologies. CognoVision Solutions Inc., a Toronto-based company, was selected for its work on the Anonymous Impression Metric (AIM) platform which encompasses leading face-detection and people-tracking technologies to provide powerful business intelligence metrics for digital signage networks and retailers. Its solutions allow digital signage networks to measure and maximize their ROI, and for retailers to improve their bottom line by increasing revenues and optimizing costs.
