NEW YORK — Mediasight, the maker of DC Media digital signage software, has announced the release of two add-ons to its suite of digital signage software products.
 
FIDs (Flight information displays) in a Box allow users to incorporate real-time flight arrival, departure and baggage claim information into their digital signs.

“This product has been well received by the hospitality market as they look to keep customers in their restaurants and other venues and provide them real-time information on any flight changes,” said Trefor Brock, vice president of operations for Mediasight. “Regional airports who could not previously afford to provide this information on a real-time basis are excited about offering the information and advertising space in their venues.”
 
ViaScreen is a meeting room scheduler and directional signage add-on that provides centralized control over room signage and integrates with any iCalendar-compliant e-mail client, including Microsoft Outlook and Lotus notes.

“While adding digital signage capability to enhance and improve venues, clients want to use existing business tools and processes to manage the resources in these venues,” Brock said. “ViaScreen allows them to use existing scheduling tools for meeting rooms, lobbies and other resources to inform and direct guests, clients and employees on meetings and events.”
