C-nario, TruMedia integrate audience measurement with digital signage software

• 18 Feb 2009

TEL AVIV, Israel — C-nario, a provider of digital signage software products and solutions, and TruMedia Technologies, a provider of real-time audience measurement and proactive advertising solutions, have announced the availability of TruMedia’s iCapture audience measurement system and iCapture PROM feature to C-nario’s customers.

iCapture PROM (PROactive Marketing) is an application programming interface (API), which enables real-time integration between the iCapture audience measurement system and C-nario’s software-based digital signage platforms. Using PROM, digital signage content can be adapted to match the viewing audience demographics for proactive advertising.

In addition, C-nario and TruMedia announced that Samsung’s CX Series of professional large-format displays will be C-nario- and PROM-enabled. TruMedia's iCapture PROM is also integrated with Samsung’s MagicInfo Player.

TruMedia’s iCapture analyzes face images of people watching the displays, using sensors, providing true viewing data for digital displays and screens. Viewers' face images are analyzed in real-time to generate business-critical information such as audience counts, individual exposure times as well as gender and age group demographics. TruMedia is fully respectful of the audience’s privacy: no images are ever recorded, and no uniquely identifiable data are extracted.

iCapture allows better media planning and targeted advertising. Viewer counts, behavior and demographics are obtained in real-time and can be used in the media streamer to select and possibly modify the advertisement.

C-nario’s technology enables and empowers digital signage networks by providing unparalleled playback and management capabilities of complex, better-than-broadcast-quality video displays in an extensive range of high-traffic environments. C-nario's competitive edge is in high-end solutions, where there is a need for superb playback of true high-definition, multi-display and synchronization of content (including real time content) on multiple screens in any shape, orientation, size and resolution.

“The cooperation with TruMedia improves and streamlines the advertising process, allowing advertisers to target their audience with the most relevant ads in real time,” said Yael Elstein, C-nario’s vice president of marketing. “The cooperation with TruMedia demonstrates our commitment to provide advertisers with the best tools to deliver their messages.”

“We are pleased to add C-nario to our growing list of Premium PROM Partners” said Dr. Itzik Wilf, TruMedia’s SVP of marketing. “Proactive Marketing sets digital signage apart from any other medium by making it possible target the ad to the viewing audience in real-time and save precious advertising dollars.”

TruMedia’s PROM solution will be on display at the Digital Signage Expo 2009 taking place 25-26 February at the Las Vegas Convention Center, TruMedia booth # 2417. C-nario will display its solutions at the company’s booth #1735.
